Reward Credit Card - Helping You Take That Dream Vacation

Have you dreamt recently of taking that long awaited vacation cruise to the Greek Isles or that weekend getaway to the Bahamas? Or how about taking that African safari? Imagine sipping iced tea in the Sahara or touring the pyramids. Some of us have the luxury of being able to afford these vacation "rewards", but most of us typically cannot afford the luxury. And how, you might ask, could a credit card actually assist in helping you take that dream vacation? Believe it or not, some of the best reward credit cards can help you do it sooner than you might think.

How Rewarding are Reward Credit Cards?

Who dislikes bonuses? People are often enticed by attractive bonus offers and credit card offers are no different. Shrewd credit card companies are using lucrative credit card rewards to lure new customers in and sustain existing customers. Reward credit cards offer several key features that attract more customers into the fold. As a potential customer your duty is to distinguish between those genuinely beneficial reward credit card offers and those less promising reward credit cards. Many credit card issuers do offer a variety of rewards programs, however, they also find an innumerable number of ways to make up for those reward payouts with fees and charges that unsuspecting customers sometimes overlook.

If I have been rejected for a credit card by an issuer what should I do?

If you have been rejected for a credit card then it indicates that there may be trouble with your credit rating. In this instance it is a good idea to contact the three main credit reporting agencies - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion and ask for the one free annual credit report that you are entitled by law to see each year. Usually procuring your report will make it evident as to why you may have been turned down for a card.

Should I apply for more than one credit card at a time?

You can apply for more than one credit card at a time but that is not always the wisest idea. First of all each time you apply for a credit card it is reflected as a "hard inquiry" on your credit report. Each time a hard inquiry is made on your account your credit score rating is lowered. Obviously if you apply for several cards at once you could lower your score considerably.

How long does it take to get a credit card application decision?

The time can vary with some credit cards offering instant approval while others may require several weeks. However, applying online generally speeds up the process. Some credit card companies offer 60 seconds decison. There may be some truth to the concept that the better your credit rating is the faster the response time for a credit card application. Once a decision is made you will be notified by mail and email.

What sort of information will I need to fill out a credit card application?

To fill out a credit card application online you will need basic information such as your driver’s license number, social security number, date of birth and address. Just as a warning, do not use your EIN (employee insurance number) instead of your social security number to apply for a credit card online. Many people do so as they think it protects their credit report or improves their chances of getting a card because the EIN number has the same number of digits as a Social Insurance Number. There is also a rumor going around that you can get away with this online and reestablish your credit. In fact passing off your EIN as your SIN number is fraud.

If I make a mistake on my online credit card application can I fix it?

The days when you filled out an online application and then were unable to "backspace" a page to correct an error are long over. If you forget something on your application online you probably won't be able to submit the application. Instead you will have conversational flags or print on the page indicating to you what you have forgotten or made in error and asking you to fix it.

How do I apply for a credit card online?

Applying for a credit card online is just the same process as if you were applying for it by mail or at the bank only in this case the forms are onscreen. Simply search www.CreditMe.com for the card you want. And when you find the card, all you really have to do is to click on the credit card picture or “Apply Now” button and you will be led to a page with an SSL application. SSL stands for secure socket layer application and it is a form of protection for your personal information.

Finding the Best Credit Card

With so many special offers from credit card issuers showing up in your mailbox or online, it's no wonder that the task of finding the best credit card for your lifestyle can seem so daunting. You may be tired of the constant pressure to sign up for a limited-time offer and overwhelmed by the many options. There are a few basic things to consider which can help you to find the best card available.

Are You Aware of Your History?

If you are like most people you don't even know your own history. Your credit history impacts your everyday life, and yet you may not have ever given it any thought. While most of us have a general idea that it a positive thing to have good credit, we may not have any real sense of what determines our own credit or even what our own credit rating is.
