To fill out a credit card application online you will need basic information such as your driver's license number, social security number, date of birth and address. Just as a warning, do not use your EIN (employee insurance number) instead of your social security number to apply for a credit card online. Many people do so as they think it protects their credit report or improves their chances of getting a card because the EIN number has the same number of digits as a Social Insurance Number. There is also a rumor going around that you can get away with this online and reestablish your credit.  In fact passing off your EIN as your SIN number is fraud.
